My Lie

You were just passing entertainment A distraction from my miserable life Never meant to be important Only a temporary high I don't know when that changed Or how you wormed your way inside I don’t know what we became Or why I think about you all the time I do know that I can't have you You simply aren't meant to be mine You are just too good to be true and nothing for me is so divine But I'm too selfish to let you go To let that part of me die Even if I already know Whatever we are is a lie
